Stephanie Snyder, Yogi Who Teaches Empathy
For some, yoga is about getting a firm booty and grabbing a latte after class with friends. It’s sporty, hip, and even sometimes cultish. We totally get the draw, but when you take a sec to dig into the philosophy behind this ancient practice there’s actually a lot to it.
To help us do the digging, New Sincerity is partnering with Stephanie Snyder from Love Story Yoga to discover the empathy and community at the heart of yoga.
It turns out the practice is about way more than self-care –– it’s a ritual of understanding how our actions impact other people. Steph is all about helping us find the sweet spot where self-awareness meets compassion, and blooms.
Follow our conversations with Stephanie as we check-out the ancient Sanskrit stories in the Bhagavad Gita. For Stephanie “Yoga addresses the story of human conflict. The practice in all its forms can help clear up confusion and help us release deeply programmed misunderstanding.” In essence our ability to be empathetic is within us––we just need to be receptive to it.
